Why we started

The backflow testing industry is not known for being easy to work with. Reports get lost. Homeowners get surprise shutoff notices from their Water Authority because paperwork never made it in. Joshua Stokes started Upstate New York Backflow to fix that. We do the test, we file the paperwork, and you do not hear about it again until next year.

Alongside backflow work, we also handle the light plumbing swaps that people actually call about, water heaters, faucets, toilets, and basement drains. Our approach is the same. Clean work, no mess, same day whenever possible, and no upsells to jobs you do not need.
